P2P Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Major Milestone in Cancer Care
As we celebrate People to People’s 25th anniversary, we are thrilled to announce a significant achievement in partnership with St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC). On September 13, 2024, we officially launched the Adult Hematology Oncology Fellowship Program at the Embilta Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This vital program addresses the growing challenge of cancer, which has reached near epidemic levels in Ethiopia.
Dr. Kebede from P2P USA recently visited the newly established Fellows Smart Room at SPHMMC. This cutting-edge facility, fully supported and funded by P2P, features advanced remote connectivity and virtual conferencing capabilities. During his visit, Dr. Kebede met with three promising fellows, highlighting the positive impact of this initiative.
This project, funded entirely by Ethiopians for Ethiopians, represents a significant advancement towards healthcare self-sufficiency and embraces innovative solutions for the future. Discussions with the SPHMMC team are also focused on further developing Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship programs.
