1. Adult Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Subspecialty Program (Collaboration: Saint Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College – SPHMMC)
Building Ethiopia’s Cancer Care Expertise
- Program Delivery: The Fellowship program continued throughout 2025, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies for both in-person and virtual classroom instruction, ensuring high-quality, accessible training.
- Monitoring & Quality: A robust monitoring system was implemented to track fellow progress, program quality, and outcomes effectively.
- Sustainability & Growth: Preparations for the future continued with the new round of fellow selection process actively being carried out, ensuring the pipeline of specialized oncologists remains strong.
- Impact: This program directly addresses Ethiopia’s critical shortage of specialized cancer care professionals, improving diagnosis, treatment, and survival rates. Your support trains the experts who will lead this fight.
2. IDP University Scholarship Project
Empowering Displaced Youth Through Education
- Transformational Milestone: A significant achievement in 2025 was the graduation of 8 IDP students from university programs.
- Academic Success: Graduates earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Information Technology (IT) and Nursing, equipping them with valuable skills for the workforce.
- Cumulative Impact: This brings the total number of students supported to completion by P2P to 32.
- Core Impact: This project delivers life-changing opportunities for young people displaced by conflict. By enabling them to complete higher education and build careers, they gain the ability to contribute meaningfully to Ethiopia’s recovery and their own futures.
3. Leadership Conference on Advancing Medical Education in Africa
Shaping the Future of Healthcare Training
- Conference Focus: P2P played a key role in organizing and hosting this pivotal conference. Discussions centered on critical areas for advancing African medical education:
- Digital innovations in teaching and learning.
- Simulation-based learning for enhanced clinical skills.
- Integrating social medicine and humanities into curricula.
- Fostering leadership within medical institutions.
- Strengthening partnerships across the continent.
- Foundational Achievement: A landmark outcome was the establishment of Africa’s Consortium of Medical Schools. P2P is a proud founding member of this collaborative initiative.
- Consortium Mission: The Consortium aims to elevate the quality and accessibility of medical education across Africa through shared resources, standards, and advocacy.
- Impact: This conference and the resulting Consortium position P2P at the forefront of transforming medical education in Africa, leveraging partnerships for continent-wide impact.
4. Amanuel Girls Care Center
Providing Sanctuary and Opportunity for Vulnerable Girls
- Educational Triumph: 8 students supported by the center graduated from university in 2025.
- Diverse Graduates: Graduates earned degrees in Management, Accounting, and Nursing, showcasing diverse career paths.
- Resilient Support: Despite facing significant operational challenges, including sporadic unrest and fragile infrastructure (notably intermittent communication blackouts), the project demonstrated remarkable resilience.
- Uninterrupted Care: The center delivered uninterrupted support throughout the year to a total of 86 orphaned and vulnerable girls, categorized as:
- 20 boarding students (supported remotely during disruptions).
- 36 community-based students.
- 30 university students.
- Future Focus: Preparations are actively being carried out to enroll new students, ensuring the center continues its vital mission.
- Impact: Your support provides stability, safety, and educational opportunities for highly vulnerable girls, enabling them to overcome adversity and graduate into promising futures.
5. Orphan Sponsorship Project (Addis Ababa)
Ensuring Care and Stability for Vulnerable Children
- Consistent Support: Essential care and support services continued without interruption for 24 orphaned children in Addis Ababa throughout 2025.
- Improved Management: A dedicated beneficiary database was established, enhancing the efficiency of support delivery and reporting.
- Academic Success: All sponsored boys and girls successfully passed to the next grade level in their education, achieving remarkable results academically.
- Impact: Your sponsorship provides these children with the fundamental care, stability, and educational support they need to thrive despite the loss of parental care.
6. Yehakim Bet (“Ask the Doctor”) TV Program (Collaboration: African Renaissance Television Services – ARTS)
Democratizing Health Knowledge Nationwide
- Program Launch: The Yehakim Bet television program was successfully launched in 2025 in collaboration with African Renaissance Television Services (ARTS).
- Core Purpose: The program is dedicated to bringing expert medical advice directly into Ethiopian homes.
- Impact: This launch marks a significant step in P2P’s mission to improve public health literacy and access to reliable medical information across Ethiopia.

- Amanuel Girls Care Center Rehabilitation: We are preparing to launch a global fundraiser specifically dedicated to rehabilitating and enhancing the facilities at the Amanuel Girls Care Center. This investment is crucial for the long-term sustainability and quality of care provided.
- Cervical Cancer Prevention and Control: A major focus for upcoming resource mobilization is cervical cancer prevention and control project. This initiative aims to address a critical women’s health need in Ethiopia through screening, education, and access to care.
