Cancer Care
P2P Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Major Milestone in Cancer Care
As we celebrate People to People’s 25th anniversary, we are thrilled to announce a significant achievement in partnership with St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC). On September 13, 2024, we officially launched the Adult Hematology Oncology Fellowship Program at the Embilta Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This vital program addresses the growing challenge of cancer, which has reached near epidemic levels in Ethiopia.

Our work in Education
Accreditation
Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education Institutions in Ethiopia
Under this program P2P has engaged in supporting progress towards accreditation and collaborated with MOH, MOE, ETA and medical schools in various capacities since 2015 to current. P2P is currently actively supporting improvement of quality medical education through accreditation; by linkage of diaspora interested in collaborating with and providing assistance for medical education quality improvement and accreditation with key stakeholders of medical education accreditation in Ethiopia and engaging United States and other international institutions to support the efforts. To this end, P2P established a Task Force in July 2022, the Accreditation Collaboration Task Force (ACTF).
Girls Boarding Care
Amanuel Girls Boarding and Care Center (AGBCC)
The care and support to orphan girls project at Amanuel Girls’ Boarding Care Center serves children whose families have been affected by the HIV/AIDS crisis. People to People (P2P), in partnership with MRC Holland Foundation, established the Care Center in 2007 in the city of Amanuel, 30 km from DM on the way to BD.
ECFMG Center
Establishment of ECFMG Testing Center in Ethiopia
On April 5, 2023, a significant milestone was achieved with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the FDRE Ministry of Health and People to People (P2P). This agreement marks the establishment of an ECFMG Testing Center in Ethiopia.
Scholarship
Education Scholarship Project
Our Education Scholarship Project provides vital support to displaced students in Amhara IDP camps, enabling them to pursue university education despite the challenges of displacement. This initiative helps bridge educational gaps and empowers students, especially addressing the need for greater female representation.

Empowering Futures in Addis Ababa
The Orphan Sponsorship Project in Addis Ababa is dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children through education and personal development. For over a decade, we have supported 24 boys and girls, guiding them to academic success and inspiring futures. Through mentorship, psychosocial support, and a strong community, our project fosters resilience, confidence, and purpose. Our graduates now give back as skilled professionals, creating a cycle of positive impact and hope for the next generation.
